Bruins fall short to Islanders

On Saturday afternoon, the Bruins fell short to the Islanders with a final score of 3-2.

In the first period, Milan Lucic scored his 22nd goal of the season but was matched by an Islander goal from, Josh Bailey. The period ended with the game tied 1-1.

The 2nd period was all about the Islanders and the only goal scored was by Matt Moulson to give the Islanders the lead 2-1 with 20minutes to play.

It looked good in the 3rd as Tyler Seguin also scored his 22nd goal of the season and tie the game up 2-2. However the lead didn't hold and John Tavares Tipped in a missed shot to score the game winning goal.

Boston lead in shots with 34 compared to the Islanders 25. Both Thomas and Rask played in net for Boston and each posted a little north of 29 minutes.

The Islanders pulled away the Win while having less shots on net and more penalty minutes, these things need to be avoided if the Bruins want to have a strong run into the post season and re-claim themselves as Stanley Cup Champions.
